Dr. Rebecca Howell is a general dentist and owner of Dentistry Downtown in Huntsville, AL. She is a graduate of Madison County schools including Grissom High School and The University of Alabama in Huntsville. Dr. Howell is passionate about promoting dental health and higher education in our community and actively aids in education by participating in health fairs, school internship programs, interaction with her patients, and scholarships.

The Dentistry Downtown Scholarship's goal is to promote dental health and higher education in North Alabama. This scholarship is available to Class of 2023 graduating seniors who plan to attend a two- or four-year institution located in Madison or Limestone County.

The Dentistry Downtown Scholarship awards a one-time $1000 scholarship to one student from each of the following high schools:

  • Huntsville High School
  • Grissom High School
  • New Century Technology High School

Preference for students majoring in STEM or nursing programs with consideration to go to dental, medical, or optometry graduate school.

Employees and employees' families are not eligible.
